K-8 Collaborations
The Technospud runs a number of on-line collaborative projects involving teachers and students around the world. Examples include book groups and math projects involving common objects (pumpkin seeds in October...). There is also a Ning social network of teachers discussing how they use the Technospuds projects here.
E-Pals faciltates collaborations between classroom around the world. You can search for projects or post ideas for collaborations that you'd like to establish for your students.
You can join collaborative global projects at Global School Net and also submit your own projects to seek potential collaborators.
Flickr is sponsoring a project: Photo A Day 4Schools in which students around the world post pictures of their daily life (sometimes thematically: One day it was photos of lunch at their schools). There is good discussion among participating teachers going on in the "discussion" forum behind this project.
